Traffic Rugs

The traffic rug, which we and many peers played on in the past, is our source of inspiration. We recreated these rugs from our memory, embracing the nostalgic feelings. Cheerful colours, abstract shapes, buildings and islands fill the rugs. In this way we hope to recreate the playfulness of the past and to connect with our inner child. Grownups should still play.
In collaboration with Debora Westra
We strive to discover how we can imply textile in our illustration work. This ongoing artistic research is made possible by Lucht stipend from Kunstpunt.
